ILLUSTRATIVER JOURNALISMUS
TOD AUS DER HÖHLE
(DEATH OUT OF THE CAVE)

This was a project about illustrative journalism I worked on for a school for journalists.
Illustrative journalism is like written journalism- you have to work with actual facts instead of fiction-
that´s how it differs from normal illustration.
For this strip a student and me were interviewing a virologist. She told us about the case of a dutch woman who got infected with a very dangerous virus in a bat cave.
The student wrote the text and I had to come up with a form and pictures to illustrate it.
I chose this style because I thought the text reads a little bit like a comic already and I it conveys the progression of the story very well.
