Born with Character
Signature Stamp
2016
In Korea, a child’s first birthday highlights a very special gifting tradition. During a first birthday celebration, family or close friends may present a gold baby ring to the child. The gold represents a blessing of good fortune. Often the ring will depict an animal from the Korean (Chinese) Zodiac. Each animal is believed to define a unique set of personality traits/fortunes for babies born in that year. This year, 2016, is the year of the Monkey. So, many babies born this year, will receive a gold ring inscribed with a Monkey on their first birthday.
A Signature Stamp is another milestone gift, given to every Korean; and used along with a hand-signed signature on all official documents or contracts. By combining a symbolic Zodiac symbol and the pure Gold with the personalized Stamp, we create a gift that is, not only an expression of love and support, but also a practical artifact that will be cherished for years to come.

A few grams of gold, similar to that of a baby ring, is fitted to the base of the stamp. The gold is removable via a hidden screw behind the stamp pad. A magnetic cap protects the personalized stamp pad and completes the minimal shape.
