Eika Retail Concept
Norwegian bank alliance Eika (meaning Oak in Norwegian) approached Mission to help them design a branded retail concept for the local branches of Eika. By your side – Eika’s purpose statement – reflects their commitment to support local banks and communities. To reinforce this level of service, Eika went against the trend of reducing high street presence and instead chose to focus on the physical presence of local Eika branches.
The retail concept was designed to feel approachable, side stepping the authoritative nature of banks for a more inviting atmosphere. Room planning, the use of furniture, lighting, plants and décor were consciously planned to allow for comfort, accessibility, privacy and flow – in order to ease and strengthen the relationship between bank and customer.
