Architecture that Matters
Gulfport, Mississippi
In response to the damage done by Hurricane Katrina. students at IIT banded together to design and build a school house for a children's museum that was devistated by the storm.  All of the design and construction work was done by architecture students from IIT.  Once the structure was designed, the main wall panels were constructed, built and then shipped down to Mississippi where the team would reassemble to put the building together.  A short documentary was created by Marc Couillais, a student who took part in every step if the process.
