Collection of toys for adults containing 9 figurines. Head and body are both interchangable and one can mix and match them creating different little hybrids.
Where did the idea for Szajka come from?
All around the world the adults are crazy about the so called urban vinyls and designer toys. In Poland it’s still a long way to go before they become a national craze but they do have their followers here and we are among them. We are also passionate about the design and it is only natural that we were tempted do create our own toys.

What is unique about the project is the material we used which is ceramics. To our surprise the idea was enthusiatically received by our professors Justyna Bąbel-Piktel and Jerzy Porębski at the Academy o Fine Arts in Warsaw and we were able to benefit from their supervision.

Vinyl Toys are toys for grown-ups, that refer back the childhood memories and at the same time are transformed by experiences of adolescency and adulthood when the world reveals its darker sides. In our pursuit for inspiration we have researched the children’s art of the 70s and 80s and that is how Szajka came about. We say no more, as we feel one has to fall in love with them in his or her own way...
