When I turned last night
did I wake you up?
I don’t know
I lost my fingers in your hair last night
I lost more than that.
That look in your eyes
Fixated on my neck
trying to sync our breath together
I lost my breath,
when I saw you do that.
Your palm behind my waist
Scaling my back
I lost my breath again
And my fingers in your hair.
Sheets coiled up in our toes
What toes, what sheets
I did not know
The smell of smoke and ash
Your warmth against my cold
Did I know my skin anymore
Oh no! I lost that too.
 Evaporated stale coffee
With a cigarette bud
Amidst it by the bedside
The flickering lamps
Rotten legends in rotten books,
They all stand witness to me,
Losing myself to you.
Will you come my love?
Its an abandoned monument
That seeks your return
The moonlight folded into curtain drapes
Waiting for you.
And I lay here waiting in my dream
To wake up to you.

far together.
