Designing the user actions in tangible interaction by M Jensen, J Buur and T Djajadiningrat

This paper explores human actions and techniques that may be used to help designers enrich the future of tangible user interfaces.

"With extended understanding of user actions as skill we can set ambitious goals for tangible user interaction design: We want to create products that address the body, that allow users to learn skilled operation through bodily action and to let them perfect this skill over time until it becomes second nature.'

Currently, the actions currently demonstrated appear to be limited to pushing sliding and rotating however, through the use of observation and metaphors, the richness and quality of human interaction can be captured to enhance the design.
