El Tití Cabeciblanco (Sanguinus Oedipus), es uno de los primates en mayor peligro de extinción en el mundo, en un principio por ser usados para pruebas científicas y hoy en día por la deforestación y explotación de su hábitat natural, además de su captura y comercialización como mascota de forma ilegal.
Se encuentra en las regiones de bosque húmedo tropical, en los departamentos de Sucre, Atlántico, Bolivar, Córdoba y el Noreste Antioqueño, desde el nivel del mar, hasta los 1500 Mts.

The cotton-top tamarin (Sanguinus oedipus), is one of the most endangered primates in the world, initially was used for scientific tests and today by deforestation and exploitation of their natural habitat, plus illegally capture as pet.
It is located in the regions of tropical rainforest in the departments of Sucre , Atlantico, Bolivar, Cordoba and Northeast of Antioquia, from sea level to 1500 meters.
