Crossing the Spine

The goal of this project is to humanize the city center.Ā 
Removing the cars and creating a regional and efficient bicycle network will also connect the center with its surroundingsĀ and reduce the car pollution.
Replacing the parking lots with residential buildings will activate the ground floor and generate life on the streets.
ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹ā€‹The train tracks, once a barrier, will now become a promenade. It will enhance the identity of the city and work together with green corridors in order to flourish life in the streets and connect the city center with the water front again.

New bycicle lanes together with existent one will create a ring, where inside will become a free car zone.
