Indianama is the story of India, essayed through art (1947-2016)

Animal, an independent agency came up with this project, where 69 artists came together to re-imagine 69 years of independent India, year by year. All artworks were unveiled at an exhibition cum sale held in New Delhi between 12th to 18th August, 2016. To view all the 69 entries, head to -

The year 1950 was my contribution for this project. 1950 was a year of massive growth for India, as it became a Republic. Four stamps were released to commemorate the same. 1950 was also the year our national anthem was translated into Hindi.

With this information as the core inspiration for my artwork, my intention was to depict a flourishing India, a country which everyone started noticing that time round.
