Giles Revell + Conceptual Color Palettes

Photographer and conceptual artist Giles Revell has been busy with a brand new personal project. Iconic flowers were selected from London’s Covent Garden flower market and were meticulously photographed, showing the original structures and how they were abstracted into polychromatic cubes and spheres. Each palette is derived from the surface of the flower, abandoning the original form, and celebrating the flora through color alone. The leaves were collected, cataloged, and photographed from a Norwegian Maple tree and the result is a series of unique color leaf maps, realized from a single tree at Kew Gardens.
