Amazon Alexa + Echo "New Skill" Hackathon

AMAZON ALEXA + ECHO "New Skill" HACKATHON

Bon Voyage allows parents to focus on driving, while using Alexa to calm fussy children by having on-demand learning content, songs, stories, and recordings.

Bon Voyage is an skill/app developed for Alexa that parents can use on car rides and to entertain their children.  The skill/app will include carefully curated learning content, songs, and stories that are time-tested and have been consistently able to soothe and delight small children.  The app’s users will also have the option of adding their voice recording - so if a particular loved one isn’t present or on the car ride, the child can still hear their voice upon requesting Alexa.  The skill/app requires usage of a regular Amazon Echo or an in-car Amazon Echo.

All you have to do is ask Echo has seven microphones and beam forming technology so it can hear you from across the room—even while music is playing. Echo is also an expertly tuned speaker that can fill any room with 360° immersive sound. When you want to use Echo, just say the wake word “Alexa” and Echo responds instantly. The more customers use Alexa, the more she adapts to speech patterns, vocabulary, and personal preferences.
