“Dyslexia is thought to be one of the most common language-based learning disabilities the world. It is the most common cause of reading, writing, and spelling difficulties. Of people with reading difficulties, 70-80% are likely to have some form of dyslexia. It is estimated that between 5-10% of the world population has dyslexia, but this number can also be as high as 17%” The International Dyslexia Association
My Minor project is on Dyslexia.
It is to seek and raise awareness about the disability to the general public. It is a two phase project, with an awareness posters and a mini toolkit/booklet that helps especially to the parents and the educators in identifying if the children showcase the symptoms of Dyslexia.The booklet/toolkit is however only designed to showcase a very few of the many symptoms of Dyslexia, It is designed only as a guideline showcasing the symptoms and not to medically prove someone of the disability.
The identity for this project is designed to stimulate how a dyslexic person see/read certain letters,while allowing us to experience what it is like as a dyslexic person.
