‘The Four Elements’ is a touring exhibition which I produced for the British NGO War on Want and the European Union. It was commissioned after I was awarded the World Press Photo first prize for the Environment category.
It is a metaphor on the impact of environmental degradation on water, air, earth and fire. The project, while focussing on specific locations that have suffered serious ecological decay and damage to human health, also conveys a message of hope: it shows groups and individuals who are committed to change and to the task of creating a better environment for ourselves and our children.The exhibition has won an award from the Visuals Arts Department of the British Council.
