Suttree Book Jacket. 2016.

For this assignment in Graphic Design Technologies, the class was asked to design their own covers for the book Suttree by Cormac McCarthy. We were provided with specifications on what must be included on the cover (i.e. title, author, critic's quote, etc...)

Upon doing some research on the book, two things stuck out to me: the setting on the Tennessee River and the amount of alcohol consumed by the main character. Lining up the horizon to form the edge of the "label" on the beer bottle was a lot of fun.
