VI-SALT-BLE  Visualizing the invisible salt in your food
Desktop system for monitoring and self regulating on salt intake everyday



The whole project try to point out a series of problem bring out by ageing population and the bad living style of Hong Kong citizen. Lack of exercises, environmental pollution and imbalance diet are the three serious problems that will lead to age related disease. From the study, imbalance diet is the most fetal one among Hong Kong citizens. Office worker usually work for 8 to 9 hours per day, fast food become their daily meals, heavy seasoning (SOS) in fast food consequence at heart disease, diabetes and even cancer.


The desktop device will growth a salt crystal plant every month according to the accumulated salt that user consumed. If user intake excessive salt, the plant will growth like blooming and the device will alarm at the specific time to alert user to choose low sodium food next time.
