Short Run Print Project for American Cancer Society

in-house short run print job
When I was with the American Cancer Society my design skills found their use through side projects for  design items that either simply didn't exist in the ACS Brand Toolkit, available through the supply store, or would be cheaper if produced through our own channels.

So this is an invite card created for a kick-off event. About 7,000 were printed and distributed to people involved with Relay for Life in Northwest New Jersey.

My challenges came with the logo (upside-down) on the cover. At the time, the 2011 Relay for Life logo was not officially available for use within the organisation. There were no usable logo assets available. Because it was used as the cover of the annual calendar I was able to make a hi-res scan and convert to a vector object.

Also shown is a letter I designed. Again, the Birthday Sword graphic was another unreleased, unofficial asset used by the ACS selectively. I created the vector from a raster image before it would later be published for use on the Brand Toolkit.
