Location: Poveglia Island, Venice, Italy
Following Gilles Deleuze's paradigm, we can divide Venetian Lagoon's islands into the oceanic and the continental.
Radical, informal and independent like Poveglia the formers, built like fortified cities on the water the letters. This project meditates on the convenience to use an island as an university campus in an age of ever-changing culture, envisaging an informal place based on imaginative relations between different buildings and their surroundings.
According to Poveglia's present oceanic characters, this means looking to a place made of buildings and open spaces provided with informal arrangements but well-defined identities.
