Since 2011 Aszyk has been designing and directing visuals and also performing them live in VJ sets in various clubs and festivals; for bands, DJs and producers.
At the end of of 2015 Aszyk produced his first audio-visual set - music, visuals and a mask. The result is a journey through a mix of bold shapes and colours, all intricately evolving and forming some mysterious geometric creatures. So far Aszyk has been touring the show 'Masks of Light' across a number of countries in Europe, improving on the performance with each iteration. A full list of the gigs and dates is shown below.
Technically, the set has been pushing the boundaries of syncing music and visuals, using OSC (Open Sound Control, like MIDI but better!) to keep everything playing extremely tight, even across two laptops and especially important as the percussive element of the set is all played live with some finger-drumming action.
The set's even been approved by Matt Black of Coldcut ;)

For a couple of upcoming shows I created this teaser of a new track 'Frika'.
It's the first track I created for use with live drumming.
I filmed this in my studio late one night and projected some visuals onto the mask.
