WORKBAR // ABOUT
At Workbar we understand that people don’t always work the way they used to. Technology has made the workforce more mobile, yet has also increased the need for shared resources, human interaction, and fun at work. So we’ve created a network of coworking spaces where independent professionals, start-ups, small businesses, and remote employees of larger enterprises can enjoy a vibrant community and high quality office amenities at an affordable price. At convenient and accessible locations around the cities of Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Arlington and beyond, we provide extraordinary shared office spaces. Our members work and grow with access to meeting rooms, event spaces, and a wide variety of social meetups and educational workshops. In a nutshell, Workbar offers the professionalism of a corporate office, the flexibility of a gym, and the comfort of a cafe.

BRANDING ELEMENTS & PRESENTATION
As an intern at Proverb LLC, I was able to contribute to working on the brand development, look and feel of Workbar. The icons used in and around the Workbar space were my main focus with this project. I also was tasked to clean up all the vector work for precise and clean design. The icons are used in many different aspects individually and worked into patterns for interior, print and web design. In addition, I worked on organizing decks for client presentations about market strategies and brand development.

ABOUT THE DESIGN PROCESS
With all design projects, my process includes thorough research, sketching off and on the computer, and designing in mind of the audience and use of market strategies to reach the audience. In particular with this project, icons for Workbar were to be integrated with the brand. Knowing the purpose and essence of Workbar, was vital in creating symbols to represent the company. After the robot mascot was designed, I worked in the same vector style to create icons. Workbar needed a sleek, clean, modern design; a san-serif typeface was chosen to use for the logo that blended well with the icon's aesthetics. Icons are used in a variety of ways for Workbar, integrated into patterns that are to become part of the interior design of the shared office space.
