What is Barefoot?
Barefoot is a restaurant with a gallery located in Sri Lanka. It is a place for relaxation and keeping a fresh mind, the place gives you a chance to connect with your friends. When you enter the store, you will find the most beautiful colors put together in their products; it gives you an inexplicable happiness.

Barefoot website
Barefoot sells colorful bold textiles and produces high-quality products and they are famous for their bold and beautiful textiles. But they don’t have a navigational user- friendly website with online shopping facilities.

Main Objectives!
My main aim is to design a website occupied with the latest online shopping facility to raise the company’s profit margin. I also want to promote our
Eco-friendly and high-quality handmade products and the boldly beautiful textiles all over the world.

Target Audience
People who love textiles and eco-friendly handmade materials.

Since I am targeting people who love textiles and eco-friendly handmade materials, I have created a special section called eco-news for customers who prepare eco-friendly products, which will be really helpful for them to find the latest news about the environment, information on buying carbon offsets and life cycles of eco-friendly handmade product. I am sure all the eco-friendly p customers will love this section.

To achieve my target I have created an online shopping facility of the latest trend in the new website in which I have provided options for the customers to choose from three different languages (English, Tamil, Sinhala), so that they can browse in any language convenient for them.


Customers can also make their payments in 3 different currencies namely Rupees, US Dollars and GBR pounds and the details of the products are clear and easy to understand.

Customers can zoom in and out for the thumbnails of the products and will be able to view them in different angles. The website will also have designated search methods so customers can easily search for price ranges, sizes and colors of the products easy to search for what the customer want by sizes, price ranges, colors and they will also be able to view the most viewed products which will be rated by stars. I’ve included a feature when customers are in the clothes section, they can choose between man and woman to get their prepared choice of products without having to go back to the online shopping page.

Font
I have used Verdana because it is a system font and customers will find it easy to read and understand.

Photography
Most of the pictures are taken from the internet, I have placed the pictures with on white backgrounds so it will be easier to view.

Colors
Since barefoot is famous for colorful textiles and their current website is also colorful I thought I will choose different colors in different sections just to create the impression of the colorful textiles of barefoot. I have used light shades of colors so that it will be easy to look and read. There are six different colors for six sections so that customers can identify in which section they are in by the color.
