This image was actually shot in Vedado, a neighborhood right next to Centro Havana. It was a quick shot – one single frame. But for me reflects a lot of how I feel about my 18 years of traveling in Cuba.

Several years after I took the image I was able to locate the women and share it with them. It was then I learned they were sisters.
I'm now thrilled to share with you all the launch of my Kickstarter campaign for my book & film on Cuba.
You can see it here…

The project is a visual, auditory and kinetic love poem, a culmination of 18 years of travel in Cuba. This is my life's work and passion – spread over 300 pages, 250 color and B&W photos, 3 different kinds of art paper (including translucent sheets with text), printed with 7 inks that will blow your mind (think iPad retina display on each page) and a 3 CD Cuban music compilation.
The book will also include stories by two-time Pulitzer Prize nominated author Brian Andreas and essays by National Geographic writer Christopher P. Baker and acclaimed travel writer Pico Iyer.
Have a look and let me know what you think! I appreciate your support in any form!
