In this series I documentated a hitch-hiking tour from Paris to Barcelona. Me and my boyfriend decided that we were going to live a certain lifestyle throughout our holiday. We’ve been all the way through from the biggest French cities to the smallest Spanish villages.
Personally I prefer everything to go smoothly, waiting is not in my dictionary and I have basic hygienic needs. This trip taught me to be myself under any circumstances. The other thing is that even the presence of the Other makes the otherwise horrible situations better. The fact that we haven’t been picked up, the stress, the lack of shelter, being on the middle of a field or at the beach. None of that matters since we are together, for ourselves. This trip have made our relationship even deeper. For me these pictures give back a multitude of beautiful memories.
A sorozatomban egy stop túrát dokumentáltam, Párizstól Barcelonáig. A barátommal úgy döntöttünk hogy nekivágunk egy fajta életnek az autón. Megjártuk a nagy Francia városoktól kezdve az egészen kis falvakat is Spanyolországig.
Személyszerint mindig törekszem arra hogy minden kellő precízen és gördülékenyen hömpölyögjön, a várakozás nem igen szerepel a szótáramban, valamint az hogy egy alapvető higénia híve vagyok. Ez a túra tanított meg arra hogy minden élethelyben önnmagam tudjak lenni, valamint hogy a másik fél pustán a jelenlétével teszi szebbé a már borzalmas szituációkat. Nem vett fel egy autó sem, stressz és nincs fedél a fejünk felett csupán egy alig 2mm vastag sátortető, a mezőn vagyunk a semmi közepén, vagy épp a part mellett, nem számít hiszen ketten vagyunk együtt egymásnak. Ez a túra a kapcsolatunkat még mélyebbé varázsolta. A képek emlékek sokaságát adják vissza, számomra.
