Zoe’s Vintage is a designer vintage store for women located in Birmingham, Alabama, that specializes in the buying and selling of collectible vintage apparel from all genres and applications. It is located in the historic district of Forrest Park, and the location needed to be reflected in the identity of the business because of its connection with the past. The target audiences of the store are fashion collectors and women with a flare for the designs of history, as well as the every day woman who desires a unique piece of vintage apparel to add to her wardrobe.
I wanted the identity to be intact with vintage fashion trends by using a more classic type approach to the name and encasing the name in a shape that resembles retro signage and branding. I chose to keep the logo black and white so that different textures and colors of fabric could be used for the packaging and clothing tags. These textures can be updated and changed over time, while the logo remains classic so that it will not need to be changed much over time.
