Issueof compliance with Medication

The Daisy has beendesigned to tackle the issue of compliance with prescribed medication for youngfemale patients suffering from bipolar disorder (manic depression). The productis designed to be worn around the wrist of the user giving the impression ofjewellery rather than a medication aid. The design works by alerting thepatient of when it is time to take their medication, through the use of agentle build up of vibration and light without attracting the unwantedattention of others.
The Daisy is not justa silent alarm it is a team of objects that work together to help the patientlive with their disorder. The design includes a diary that the user uses tokeep notes of their feelings which has been proven to help, the pill box whichcan be separated into day by day boxes, the Daisy bed allows the user to linkthe Daisy bangle to a computer to set the alarm time and also keep a digitaltrack of their medication.
