DESIGNING A LOOK AT THE TRUTH WITHIN LIES

We face and embrace the lies that encumber us and often keep us from succeeding. This social commentary is represented in a journal book to address the lies we tell and how they can be turned around with a corresponding workshop to assist in putting these items into practice. The book was authored as a designer's approach to how to give life advice as beginning with sayings. For example, breaking things into smaller pieces so they are easier to swallow. This is great advice and very much something we should all do, yet what does that mean? I take a conversational approach to giving out advice in the cliche manner that so many others do, but follow that up with fundamental strategy toward taking accountability and using tactics based on research to best approach each issue. This isn't meant to be a formal text, but more a companion guide written and designed if coming from an impartial friend.

This project's illustrations have been sketched by hand before import into Photoshop, writing and layout within InDesign.
