This personal project is a companion piece to the Aliens 30th Anniversary poster illustration I recently completed - come one, I had to to the original masterpiece too, right?

This was a lot of fun and after several not so successful attempts I think I am close to having my own technique to produce the Drew Struzan style hand drawn movie poster type artwork I love so much, with digital methods. Technique is only one part of course and the planning and composition of this piece I think works really nicely.
