Tableau Color Palette: Superfishel Stone
Collaborated with Maureen Stone on the "Superfishel Stone" color palette for Tableau version 10. Read about the process here!
Design Principles
-Choose distinct colors that can be identified by simple color names (red, green, light blue).
-Colors should be balanced in hue chroma and lightness so that one does not stand out more than another.
-Colors must be effective at different sizes (small circles, bars, treemaps, text, etc.).
-Palette should be beautiful. Previous palettes met scientific requirements but were not beautiful so users did not enjoy using them.
