aqra; a silent tea room

the pavilion proposed would be primarily a wooden lattice which individual pieces will then fit into. these separate wooden constructs would act as a control of the environment within the space and a variant of the atmosphere for the pavilion's interior. the temporary structure would use bubble wrap as its skin.
tea is a ritual. this pavilion would promote tea culture whilst promoting the calm that we don't often come across in daily life. the point was to provide places of solitude where creative people can just create, be inspired, or just be.
i looked to social media habits in the process of this project to understand what it is about certain aesthetics and the blogging culture, which makes a practice like reading 'hip'. i sought to emulate this.
