My name is Oğuzhan. It is Oğuz Han really. Or Oğuz Kağan. In English Oghuz Khan. He was a legendary and semi-mythological Khan of the Turks. Some Turkic cultures, especially Oghuz Turks use this legend to describe their ethnic origins.
And the Modu Chanyu ~who lived circa 234 BC -174 BC, was the fourth known Xiongnu ruler and the founder of the Xiongnu Empire~ is the historical Oghuz Khan. Because, there is a striking similarity with Oghuz Khagan biography. And it is known that Modu Chanyu was also called "Oğuz Han" as he united the Turkic people under a single flag. Interpretively; Oğuz means "the clans", then Oğuzhan means "khan of the clans". Thus, Modu Chanyu(Turkish: Mete Han) is also known as Oğuzhan.
