Situation
A learning environment was created by a team of students for the module of Technology Enhanced Learning at University of Sussex. The learning environment is based on key stage 2. The learning environment was built aiming to solve the problem of how can children learn difficult areas of computing, such as programming in a fun and interesting way. The created learning environment is based in learning theories, motivational theories, interface design strategies, and modern methods of teaching programming.

The learning environment was defined as an interactive theme based game application for children between seven and eleven years old with the objective of teaching the importance of generalized algorithms, specifically the implementation of the bubble sort algorithm.

In conclusion, I think this was a successful evaluation and that our project was very good because it was based in plenty of background research in theories, also we explored many modern techniques and existing products to come up with ProgAliens. The children were positive and gave honest and specific feedback to improve the game. The complicated part is how to link the activity with the pseudo code, because most of the kids didn’t understand the pseudo code, except for the last group. Overall, the video should be shorter, and it should be presented in a quiet environment to each student individually. The last team showed that the more individual the application is, the more they will understand. The decisions that the team took were successful and I would not change any of them.
