The Masked Heroes Playing cards were intended for young adults or older audience that are fascinated with historical and adventure novels and movies. Inspiration came from historical action movies about Robin Hood type of heroes who were hiding their identity by wearing a mask. Four International masked heroes became theme for this card set, Zorro representing Spain, La Tulipe Noire or Black Tulip representing France, Lone Ranger representing United States, and Robin Hood himself representing United Kingdom. Each of the heroes themselves appears as kings creating four distinctive suits, queens are their ladies and jacks are their horses.

Each of the characters was hand drawn using charcoal, and then scanned in. This realistic style of drawing using charcoal as well as textures and colors applied by computer is meant to create the historical and authentic look and feel.  Using hand drawn illustrations is also intended to show my artistic abilities without the use of the computer.

The suits were changed up with the marks that came from each masked hero.
