Makaronitehdas is a pasta restaurant where all the food is prepared on site, the customer service is superior and customers like to stay for a long time. Makaronitehdas serves excellent fresh pasta, delicious antipasti and mouth-watering desserts. All this now available at Jumbo shopping center.
The interior of the restaurant is extremely cozy and warm. The whole decor is inspired by industrial style and rustic exposed finishes. The structural elements, furnishing as well as the the lighting fixtures are all industrial inspired. One of the eye-catching focal points of the restaurant is the pasta kitchen right next to the entrance. Also the extensive use of copper, rusty surface materials and reclaimed wood intensify the industrial feeling.
The cooperation in the Makaronitehdas project with VDPHelsinki was extremely pleasant and successful. This was the very first project together, but we already have some new interesting projects under way. Jaana Ekman managed to create a truly authentic industrial look and feel as well as a factorylike restaurant interior design concept exactly as the restaurant owners wished for. The customers have praised the homey & cozy interior, too. This is what one of our customers said: ”It’s like stepping into an entirely new world and leaving the bustling shopping mall behind you”.
