This was a title done for Tri-Series (Australia v S.Africa v W.Indies) which was held in West Indies. The idea was to show the teams travelling from their respective countries to West Indies. I took a low poly approach as I wanted to use this style in one of my project.

It was challenge to show the whole of Australia or S.Africa into one single land mass yet keeping all the significant land structures and feel of that country.
Given the deadline I didn't want to spend too much time into animating the bird as it was needed only for a couple of seconds on a long shot. But it still need to have a proper flying motion. After experimenting for a while, the Mospline tool came really handy in animating the bird's wings along with the bend deformer.
