This project is partnered with the handmade design studio Igniscode. The chosen paper and the way the book is held are referred to the Bible, because this christian book is still a safe habour for many people living situations similar to the characters of Barren Lives. Also, the pages were ripped sideways and the few dialogues in the book were uniquely designed to instigate even further the tactile and visual aspects of aridity and brutality.

A escolha do papel e a forma como o livro é segurado remetem à Bíblia, pois este ainda é um porto seguro de várias pessoas que vivem situações similares às personagens de Vidas Secas. Também, as páginas foram rasgadas lateralmente e os poucos diálogos do livro foram diagramados de forma singular, para instigar ainda mais os aspectos táteis e visuais da aridez e brutalidade.
