Which is the current year in different cultures and countries around the world?
Although the gregorian calendar is recognized worldwide as the official model for counting time, more than 30 other ways of calculating it do actually exist, and some more existed in the past. The visualization shows a selection of the most used calendars, giving information about the time starting event, the year of introduction, the type of calendar and the current year.
