Melty Shoes was established in 2012 by professional artist and designer Rachel Prince.
It will provide custom decorated shoes for any occasion and any gender, or age group.

Do you have a pair of pumps, Converse, boots, Keds, evening shoes, or any other 'everyday' shoes laying around that needs a nice, new make over? Well, send them to us and we will give them a Melty Shoes style spruce up!
Our styles can accomodate any taste and, so long as your shoes aren't patent, PVC or leather, we can decorate them for you.

What sort of supplies do you use? - Well, that all depends on what material your shoes are made from. If they are canvas, or other similar materials we can use fabric paints and even professional colour markers. If they are silk, we will only use silk paints to ensure that the colours do not run and the fabric does not get ruined.
What designs would be perfect for my wedding? - We recommend something that suits your personality. Or maybe even a homage to your and your intended. Also, we can reproduce a design should you request it, for example if you have a favourite piece of cloth, or lace.

How Do I Order From You?
Simple! Contact us and let us know what type of shoes you have and what they are made out of. (Some things will not work with certain materials. For example, paints do not take to patent shoes.) Also, give us an idea of what you want done to them. Then, all you need to do is pay us via paypal and send out your shoes to us in the mail and we'll do the rest!
What Can I Order?
Anything you want! You can have a hand painted design, or even just some simple beading work. If you have some charms or special beads you want added, send it with your shoes and we'll add them free of charge!
How Long Will It Take To Get My Shoes Back?
We will aim to have all orders done within 4 weeks, however some designs may take longer. We will always keep in touch with you and let you know of any changes.
How Do I Take Care Of My Shoes?
Try not to wear them TOO often. Also, avoid wet weather as best as you can. We will treat every pair with waterproofing spray before we ship them back to you. If they get dirt on them, use a damp cloth or sponge to remove it. Try not to rub too much. Under no circumstances should you put them in the washing machine!
We hold no responsibility for any damage to your shoes AFTER they have been returned.

I wanted to replicate an oriental ink painting, or the willow pattern in this design, as I felt it suited the shoe style.I started by wiping on brown fabric ink, then using textured paper, I lightly pressed it on over the top to give a darker, leafy feel. I then added long strokes for the grass and the tree and bamboo. I then used the same method with the textured paper and added a thin layer of light blue over the image in varying degrees of darkness to give it a little more life. To finish, I highlighted with black ink and hot fixed it all.
