“Play, party, work” is a furniture system designed by Anna Wręga and Kaja Nosal during the residency IKEA Bauhaus Summer 2015 – “Newly Furnished”. 
Under the motto “newly furnished”, the idea is to immerse oneself in the thoughts behind the original idea of the artist colony and, with contemporary interventions, to enable living and working in the heritage-listed buildings once again.
The name of furniture collection refers to the title of the lecture, given by Johannes Itten in 1919 — „Our play, our party, our work”. 

Play becomes celebration; celebration becomes work; work becomes play. 
Our play should become work; our work, a celebration; and our celebration, play. I regard this as the supreme excellence of the human tasks.

The furniture collection contains abstract objects with multiple functions and none visible function at the first sight. It allows the imagination to play first fiddle. It tells you to balance your work, allows you to party, work and play at the same time. It encourages you to dig into Bauhaus history and experiance living here as original Bauhausers used to do. 

It’s dedicated to the Schlemmer house, where future residents are going to live. 
The aesthetics refers to geometrical and abstract Schlemmer’s costumes.
