Ratter |Rattenfänger|

In 1284, while the town of Hamelin was suffering from a rat infestation, a piper dressed in multicolored clothing appeared, claiming to be a rat-catcher. He promised the mayor a solution to their problem with the rats. The mayor in turn promised to pay him for the removal of the rats. The piper accepted and played his pipe to lure the rats into the Weser river, where all but one drowned.
Despite the piper's success, the mayor reneged on his promise and refused to pay him the full sum (reputedly reduced to a sum of 50 guilders) even going so far as to hint that he brought the rats himself in an extortion attempt. The piper left the town angrily, vowing to return later to take revenge. On Saint John and Paul's day while the Hamelinites were in church, the piper returned dressed in green like a hunter playing his pipe. In so doing, he attracted the town's children. One hundred and thirty children followed him out of town and into a cave and were never seen again.

The name and the design of Ratter were inspired by the legend of Pied Piper of Hamelin.
It's supposed to be not just a powerful speaker, but an attractive thing which makes people want to follow the music. That's the reason for a strict choice of materials used for the shell. These are acoustic plywood, stainless steel and wear resistant natural leather.
There is no secret in clear basses and live voice of Ratter:
- precisely calibrated 60W amplifier
- 4" mid/bass neodym speakers with extended cone amlitude
- silk cones of satellites
- special composed acoustic plywood
Ratter has 13600mAh Li-ion 12V battery, that provides 23 hours of performance on maximum level. Built-in charger fills it in 8 hours from 0 to 100%
So all the 26 hours you can skate, run or dance wearing it whithout removing. Its weight is only 4 kilogramms and despite the hard shell, Ratter is extremely ergonomic. Its textile parts exceedes the standarts of sports equipment.
Triangled shape of the shell makes Ratter really impact-resistant and its speakers are mightely protected by heavy steel grids.

Stern&Baum hopes that 3,5mm jack became a history for listening mp3s via portable speakers. Bluetooth is default on. But If you'd like to lead 'em all by playing guitar - you can find jack and RCA inputs Inside.
