This and several other projects were made during my work as Art Director of a new International YMM Art school "Shekou" (Shenzhen, China), one of many amazing YMM ART Education Company's schools all over the world (http://ymmart.com/).
Me and a team of art teachers recreated the idea of company's ART Director Yang Mythos (杨梅红), to create a tribute to all the Masters of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, who have deep influence on modern art.
For this project, we decided to use not only bright and open colors, but to take it further and make paint work as a relief, with the mix of acrylic paint and gypsum. Paint mix was getting hard in a very short time and we had to work really fast too: half of our team was mixing the colors, the other one applying them.
To increase the connection between heavy paint mixture and canvas and make sure that paint will not easily chip off the background, we additionally strengthen it with staples.
