A Spirituality Agora
Reflecting on the landscape
A Spirituality agora overlooking the Botanic Gardens, Dublin
A Spiritual Agora for the city to reflect in a historical landscape, overlooking the majestic Dublin Botanic Gardens and Glasnevin Cemetery. The planned  building is located within an eighteen century planned landscape on a south facing slope, nestled beside a variety of mature trees. The journey through the building is punctuated by framed views, with every path continuing without an endpoint. The spiritual space is raised above the ground for an uninterrupted view of the tree-tops. The agora and meeting place is below,  the hub for all the activities. I performed the role of lead architect, vision maker and client liaison on this project. Creating this design was a unique opportunity to plan a resonant, meaningful building to celebrate permanence and the passing of time. The project successfully received planning permission in February 2012.
