Lisa is a 3D printed portable speaker that explores the operation of focal sound through direction to accompany and complement the rhythm and blues genre.

Creation of this design outcome was inspired by the smooth vinyl era of the 50’s and 60’s with intent of enhancing the experience and sound quality through a removable and repositionable lid that focuses the sound in two ways. One upward & outward to create a fuller sound. And the other downward create a hollowed, open and echoed sound. Use of lid embodies and reiterates the methodical gestures of using a record player.
