What is the Future? Reinterpreted REFLECTION of the Past. What is the Heart - a rich collection of memories, a store of impressions. The Heart of the City is a reflection of everything that ever happened to the city. The city, which denies it’s Past, doesn’t have a Heart and without a Heart it can’t have the Future. The New Heart of the City appears among the ruins of it’s former, destroyed Heart. Every time we make our way to the Future, to the New Heart of the City, we step over the past - over the water-mirror trace of the old Castle, which makes us remember it’s story, the unique story of the whole Konigsberg/Kaliningrad.

The memory of the place appears in physical artefacts as well as in the consciousness of the citizens - in memories, reflections, actions. Future HEART OF THE CITY is being conceived between the past and the present, reconciling the contradictions, emphasizing advantages and recreating the atmosphere of a place with history. This process brings to live new ATTRACTORS and revive the existing ones.

The first step to the revival of the HEART OF THE CITY is accepting and reinterpreting of its recent history, an attempt to turn the disadvantages into advantages. Massive and uninhabited House of Soviets turns into an eco-hotel, attracting the tourists and promoting sustainable life-style.

One of the main tasks was to preserve and safeguard the physical evidences, the memories telling the history of the Castle, to provide to the citizens a place for reflection, interpretation, contemplation of the history meeting the future. To give an opportunity to the city to develop autonomously, provide to the citizens the freedom of CREATION of their future. The Administration Tower, open to the citizens represents transparency and friendliness of the city government, reflects existing reality to create a new one.

The center of the complex and at the same time its soul is a Multifunctional hall HEART OF THE CITY. Building is literally alive, it reacts vividly to the surrounding context, reveals new points of view on the familiar panorama of Kaliningrad. Open and welcoming it is a real HEART beating 24 hours. Being a notable landmark the building attracts the citizens as well as the tourists while flexible interior structure allows to adapt its spaces to the events of different format - from theatrical performance to aperitif on the open terrace with a splendid view on the river and Cathedral.

Что есть Будущее? Переосмысленное ОТРАЖЕНИЕ Прошлого. Что есть Сердце - богатая коллекция воспоминаний, кладезь впечатлений. Сердце Города - это отражение всего, что когда-либо происходило с городом. У города, отрицающего свое прошлое, нет сердца, а без сердца, у него не может быть будущего. Новое Сердце Города зарождается среди руин его старого, разрушенного Сердца. Каждый раз, на нашем пути к Будущему - к Новому Сердцу Города, мы переступаем через Прошлое - через водное зеркало следа старого Замка, помня его историю - уникальную историю всего Кёнигсберга | Калиниграда.
Память места проявляется как в физических артефактах, так и в сознании жителей города - в воспоминаниях, размышлениях, действиях. Будущее СЕРДЦЕ ГОРОДА зарождается в окружении прошлого и настоящего, примиряя противоречия, подчеркивая достоинства и воссоздавая атмосферу места с историей. В ходе этого процесса и рождаются новые ТОЧКИ ПРИТЯЖЕНИЯ, а также активируются давно забытые.
