NEST Bangkok

Nest was one of the first new roof-top bar concepts in Bangkok. It offers 20-35 year-olds (local and expatriate) a private & elegant meeting place before clubbing, and a social venue for after-work drinks. The brand is young, on-trend and cosmopolitan, but not pretentious. Appropriately called Nest, the brief was to capture the essence, and attitude of the brand to create a unique brand identity.

The logo design is instinctive and unpretentious in its simplicity; inspired by the raw rattan materials used in the décor, it is an uncomplicated, monotone illustration of a nest that represents the brand’s function and attitude.

A stylised nest is the graphic representation of the name and four leaves were place in accordance with the four points on a compass to reflect the 360° views from the roof-top bar. The dark brown (Pantone 4625) is used as a single brand colour to give a warm, grounded, and contemporary feeling. 

A relaxed attitude and young character of the brand is also communicated through the use of smile-in-the-mind design on the coaster and toilet signs to show that this brand is not taking itself too seriously.
