This Line is Part Suspended; Please Use An Alternative Route

More than four million people travel on the London Underground each day, most of whom spend their journey avoiding eye contact and complaining about the poor service. The London Underground map is globally iconic, however, most visitors to the tube do not realise that there is an alternative route to navigate subterranean London by, through the individually designed and line-specific seat covers. Due to the status of the Underground as popular ‘travel tourism’ it was extremely hard to find empty carriages, sometimes necessitating travelling to the end of a line, or taking days to capture a photograph. People are too busy to stop and appreciate the beauty of the design of the Underground. Leaving only traces of their journey, worn out seats and discarded rubbish, they are unaware of the visual world around them, unconsciously degrading the beauty of the Tube.
