The Bird is a trompe l'oeil sculpture made entirely out of paper and paint to mimic the natural look of a real bird. Research on specimen and bird anatomy help create the form and color of this piece. Instead of exhibiting in a natural and peaceful environment, I decided to install it in a pipe as to speak about the tragedy of our environment as well as our ignorance to environmental destruction.
