The assignment for this project was to design a bistro on Dorobanti Street on the ground floor of a residential building. The area is very populated and especially frequented by the upper class. Going back to Bistros in history i noticed that the first ones were in the living-rooms of french people who wanted to share their food and drinks with travellers. The design wants to respond to the area by using furnishings like wood, glass, leather wich are all signs of nobility, also the presence of a small winery. The frames attached to the ceilling try to remember the old Bistros that had a lot of paintings on the walls, but the fact that are empty is because they also represent the stories that you would hear only in such places on a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, stories, small talks that usually you forget after leaving the Bistro.
