Sunflower

Inspired by the symbolism of the sunflower, I looked to recreate one via acrypic from an online image. However, this sunflower is different than the flower originally viewed. I utilized different tequniques such as adding water to the paint, giving it a more transparent feel as well as utilizing a dark background.

The combination of a strawberry and lips provide enough proximity to the phrase "sex sells." Initially the mindset of the viewer can be led to sex, hunger, or passion. Being in close proximity the symbols leave the viewer to their own interpretations.
