Ink detail 1. I used a Hunt 101 and a Pentel japanese marker brush for the bolder marks and a Hunt 100 pen for the finest details.

Almost complete ink. As I knew I wanted a bright, flame- lit scene, I used next to no spot blacks here.
Colour detail 3. Confession. The volunteers were overwhelmingly catholic so a priest was present to hear confessions of men, many of whom would not survive the siege.
Ink detail with a selection of the pens and brushes I used. It was all rendered on Bristol board.
