Cannabis Reports Platform Video's
Creating videos that spoke to the heart of what Cannabis Reports is offereing to business professionals in the cannabis space took well communicated ideas and integration of techinical knowledge, visual content creation compacity, & refined messaging plus voice recording.
Of the many steps that went into completing this project, working with the team at Cannabis Reports was the most rewarding part of the experience. Special thanks to David Drake, the founder and CEO, for his attention to detail as this project was manifested in a remarkably short amount of time, but just in time for the companies rebranding from Smoke Reports to Cannabis Reports.
Rebranding with Cannabis Reports is still underway but these videos along side the new logo have gotten the company off to a good start. With integration of ideas and repurposing of the companies content we effectively completed the project and exceeded expectation. These videos went live Jan of 2016.

Creative Process
Cannabis Reports Platform Video's
Inspiration started with a video originaly created by the CEO for Smoke Reports. Durring Cannabis Reports rebranding the talk of a new video that carried the Cannabis Reports name and logo, plus spoke to the authorative and high calibor technology that's behind the platform needed to be compressed down into less than 2 minutes and fit into 3 videos that spoke to different audiences.
David had created two videos in the past that carried the messaging that he desired.

In colaboration with David we created the original Smoke Reports Business Video

Using the visuals from the business video in combinsation with the narrations written for the previous videos we created three new videos.

Getting Started
Getting started, as a content created I had to organize what was already on the table. Creating the overall flow wasn't hard. The first minute contained the origianl video sketch animation, originaly written and designed by David to level with our intended audience on the problem we see them struggling with. His problem solution logic, was still completely valid and useful, so it was saved and used to start off new videos.
The overall structure of the videos that was decided on - Explain the problem / Share Solution with World / Show Technology - then from there all the individual branding elements that already represened the company were saved in a folder.
Taking Shape
Watching the project take shape day after day was very exciting for everyone in the office. After doing a rough recording of the voiceovers, I started editing imagery into the timeline immediately. Much of the imagery was screen captures from the website, which is actually the tool itself.
Showing off the Tools
Showing off the tools of innovative technology will continusoly be a growing process but as a care taker of step one, getting the idea out there, I can confidently say this technology pretty much sells its self.
Some of the tools offered by Cannabis Reports dot com, which is a database of cannabis products, and medical studies information, are so well developed the beautify of the site could only be enhanced in the editing, becaues it's alone told the story of the tools, as the artiest I had to realize how to make those tools and features all flow together.

Big Picture
Big picture thinking always gets boiled down to the details and actions steps. Some of the details that came out of the creaive process of this project were surprising to say the leaset. First the voices used for the videos, second the limitation on sharing the site, and the deadline that was set for "yesterday."
